Terms of Service
This is a draft that has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. It describes what Lethe Live does today.

1. Who these terms are between
These terms are an agreement between you and Arsen Kalashian, a private individual who runs Lethe Live (“we”). By using the app you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use it.
2. The licence
If you got the app from Apple, including through TestFlight, it is licensed to you under Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These terms cover your use of the Lethe Live service alongside it.
If you got the app another way, for example on Android, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, redistribute, sell or reverse-engineer the app, except where the law allows it regardless of these terms.
3. Your content is yours
Everything you put into Lethe Live — memories, notes, photos, videos, tickets — belongs to you. We claim no rights in it. If you use Cloud Backup, you allow us to store the encrypted copy only so that we can keep it and give it back to you. How your data is handled is set out in the Privacy Policy.
Please only add content you have the right to keep. Lethe Live is a private archive: nothing you add is published or shown to anyone else.
4. Your account
You need an account to use Lethe Live. Keep access to your sign-in method secure; anyone who can sign in as you can reach your account. You can delete your account at any time — here is how.
5. Keep your own copy
Your archive lives on your phone. If the phone is lost, broken or reset, the archive on it is gone unless you have a backup. The app lets you export a backup file at any time. We cannot recover an archive that was never backed up.
6. The Friends Beta
During the Friends Beta, Lethe Live is free: nothing is sold, and no subscription can be bought. Lethe Live is still in development, so you may run into bugs, and features may change or be removed. Please keep a backup of anything you would not want to lose, and please do not share the build.
Some testers receive Cloud Backup free of charge, for a period shown in the app under Profile → Plans. When that period ends, the backup stays readable for 30 days and is then deleted, as the Privacy Policy describes. The memories on your phone are not affected.
7. Paid subscriptions
Paid subscriptions are planned but not offered yet, and these terms do not cover buying one.
8. Things you agree not to do
- use the app, or our servers, in a way that breaks the law;
- try to access another person’s account or data;
- interfere with, overload or probe our servers beyond normal use of the app.
If you find a security problem, please tell us at support@lethelive.com rather than testing it further.
9. Third-party content
Artist, city and venue information and artist images come from Wikidata and Wikimedia Commons under their own licences, which the app shows where they apply. We do not guarantee that this information is accurate or complete.
10. Ending
You can stop using Lethe Live and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms. Either way, your archive stays on your phone, and you can export it.
11. Warranty and liability
Lethe Live is provided “as is”, and during the beta without any guarantee that it will work without interruption or error. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for the loss of content that was not backed up.
12. Changes
We may change these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed.
13. Your rights as a consumer
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under applicable consumer protection law.
