The Friends Beta

Lethe Live is being tried by a small group of people before it is released. Joining is by invitation, and thank you for being one of them.

Installing

iPhone

You will get two emails from Apple. The first invites you to App Store Connect — accept it once; you won’t need it again. The second comes from TestFlight, Apple’s app for testing: install TestFlight from the App Store, open that invitation on your iPhone, and install Lethe Live from there.

Android

You will get a personal link from us to install the app.

Before you start

  • Lethe Live is still in development. You may run into bugs, and some things will change before release.
  • Your memories are stored on your phone. Export a backup from time to time (Profile → Cloud & Media → Export backup), and always before deleting the app.
  • Everyone in the beta uses the free plan, and nothing can be bought. Cloud Backup is not part of the beta yet.
  • Updates arrive through TestFlight and install over the app you have, so your account and your memories stay as they are. You don’t need to delete anything first.
  • Please don’t share the app or your invitation.

What leaves your phone

  • To sign you in: your email address if your account has one, the sign-in details Apple, Google or our email code provide, and the username you choose.
  • Artist names you search for, which are looked up in Wikimedia’s public catalogue.
  • Only with Cloud Backup, which is not part of the beta yet: your whole archive, encrypted on your phone before it leaves, and only when a backup runs. So that you can get it back if you lose your phone, our service can technically read your backup; every use of that recovery access is confirmed and recorded.
  • If the app crashes: a report of the crash, with no account, name or content of yours in it.

On the free plan, your memories never leave your phone. The full list is in the Privacy Policy.

Telling us what you find

Anything that confuses you, annoys you or breaks — and anything you like — is exactly what we want to hear. The easiest way is to tell the person who invited you, however suits you: a message, a screenshot, a short screen recording, or just a chat. There are no forms to fill in.

If you prefer, email support@lethelive.com, or on iPhone send feedback through TestFlight: take a screenshot while using the app and share it as beta feedback, or open Lethe Live in TestFlight and tap Send Beta Feedback.

The small print

The Terms of Service and Privacy Policy apply to the beta. Both are drafts that have not yet been reviewed by a lawyer, and say so.
